Scope: This Limited Warranty applies to EW-branded products purchased by consumers in the United States (all states & D.C.), whether purchased online through EW's e-commerce websites (electronicworldusa.com) or from an EW Authorized Retailer.
Audience: This document applies to consumers. Resellers should refer to Electronic World — Wholesale (B2B) Warranty & RMA Terms (U.S.).
1. Key Definitions
- "EW," "we," "our," "us": Electronic World LLC.
- "You," "your," "consumer," "end-user": The original end-user purchaser of an EW-branded product.
- "Authorized Retailer": A retailer that EW has approved to sell EW-branded products in the U.S. and that can be verified on request.
- "Warranty Period": One (1) year from the original retail purchase date shown on your receipt/invoice.
- "RMA": A Return Merchandise Authorization issued by EW for a warranty return.
2. What This Limited Warranty Covers
EW warrants that EW-branded products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use during the Warranty Period. If a covered defect arises and you submit a valid claim, EW will provide the remedy described in Section 8.
Tolling (where required by law)
In jurisdictions that require it (for example, California), the Warranty Period is tolled for any time the product is out of your possession for warranty evaluation/service or for the time after you notify EW of a nonconformity until the product is returned or made available after service. This paragraph complies with applicable state law and does not extend the Warranty Period where tolling is not required.
3. What This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover
This Limited Warranty does not cover, and EW is not responsible for, any of the following:
- Wear & tear / cosmetics: Normal wear, scratches, dents, discoloration, or cosmetic damage that does not affect function.
- Misuse / abuse / accidents: Damage caused by misuse, abuse, drops, crushing/impact, liquid ingress, fire/heat, weather, or acts of God.
- Improper installation / out-of-spec use: Damage from installation not in accordance with EW instructions or use outside published specifications.
- Unauthorized service or modification: Opening, altering, or repairing the product by anyone not authorized by EW; removal/defacement of serial numbers, labels, or tracking codes.
- Consumables & promotional items: Consumable components (e.g., adhesives/films) and free, promotional, or giveaway items.
- Third-party device damage & data loss: Damage to other equipment or property or any data loss; back up/remove data before sending items to EW.
- Lost or stolen products.
- Counterfeit, diverted, or unverified products: Products that are counterfeit, stolen, altered, or for which EW cannot verify authenticity or a valid U.S. purchase.
- Products sold or shipped outside the U.S. and products purchased for export.
- Unauthorized sellers/marketplaces where authenticity or U.S. purchase cannot be verified.
No tie-in sales
Using non-EW accessories by itself does not void this warranty.
4. Your Responsibilities (Proof, Condition, and Timing)
To obtain warranty service, you must:
- Provide proof of purchase showing the original retail purchase date, the EW product, and the seller (EW's website or an Authorized Retailer).
- Provide evidence of the defect, including clear photographs of the product and any identifying labels/serials/codes.
- Submit your claim within the Warranty Period via one of the methods in Section 5.
- Return the product for evaluation if EW requests a return (RMA required and must be valid).
5. How to Start a Claim (Two Ways)
You may initiate a claim either way below. In all cases, you are responsible for all shipping & handling (Section 7).
A) By email
Send your claim to warranty@electronicworldusa.com (subject: "Warranty Claim"). Include: your full name, ship-to address, phone/email, product/SKU, serial/batch (if present), purchase date, seller (Authorized Retailer or electronicworldusa.com), and a brief description of the issue with photos.
B) Online warranty portal
Submit at electronicworldusa.com/warranty. Complete the form and attach photos.
After submission, an EW representative will contact you with next steps (which may include troubleshooting or issuing an RMA).
Authorized Retail Purchases Covered
Whether you purchased from electronicworldusa.com or from an EW Authorized Retailer, this Limited Warranty applies for one (1) year from your purchase date. Shipping & handling for inbound evaluation and for any replacement remains your responsibility in all cases. (For convenience, EW may offer an optional prepaid label and charge you its actual cost.)
6. RMA Requirement, Validity & Return Instructions
- RMA required: If EW determines a return is needed, we will issue an RMA number. Returns without an RMA, or returned after the RMA validity period, may be refused.
- RMA validity: 30 calendar days from the date of issuance.
- How to ship: Write the RMA number on the outer carton; include a copy of your proof of purchase and the RMA inside. Remove any personal data and accessories not required for evaluation. Ship prepaid & insured; retain tracking and proof of delivery. Collect/COD shipments will be refused.
- Risk of loss: Risk of loss/damage passes to EW only when delivered at EW's Warranty Center. Loss/damage in transit to EW is the sender's responsibility.
7. Shipping & Handling (Customer-Paid)
You are responsible for all shipping, handling, packaging, insurance, and related charges associated with warranty service—both the shipment to EW and any outbound shipment of a replacement. If you prefer in-person pickup of a replacement at an Authorized Retail Location, EW will coordinate that option (subject to inventory availability and store procedures).
8. EW's Remedy (Replacement Only)
If EW verifies a covered defect during the Warranty Period, EW will, at its option:
- Replace the product with a new or refurbished EW product that is same or functionally equivalent, shipped to your address, or
- Arrange for you to pick up the replacement at an Authorized Retail Location (subject to inventory and scheduling).
No refunds or credits are provided to consumers under this Limited Warranty.
Title to the replaced unit passes to you upon delivery; title to the defective unit passes to EW upon EW's receipt. Replacements are warranted for the longer of (a) the remainder of your original Warranty Period or (b) 90 days. If your exact model is unavailable, EW may provide a functionally equivalent model (color/finish may differ).
9. Evaluation Timeline
Once EW receives your product at the Warranty Center, EW has up to 30 calendar days to evaluate the product and communicate the outcome and remedy. EW may contact you for additional information during this period.
10. Denials & Returns of Non-Qualifying Items
EW may deny coverage if: (a) the product is not defective; (b) the product is out of warranty; (c) the return is incomplete or mismatched; (d) authenticity or proof of purchase cannot be verified; or (e) the issue falls under exclusions in Section 3. In such cases, the product may be returned at your expense (including shipping) or held for 30 days pending your instructions; after 30 days, EW may dispose of the item.
11. Limitation of Liability & State-Law Rights
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EW is not liable for incidental, indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of data, or damage to other equipment.
Implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) last no longer than 1 year, where permitted by law. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion/limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary by state.
12. Governing Law; Arbitration by Reference; Small-Claims
This Limited Warranty is governed by the laws of Texas (without regard to conflicts-of-law rules). Dispute resolution is subject to the Binding Arbitration & Class-Action Waiver contained in EW's Terms of Sale/Use available on electronicworldusa.com. Except for individual small-claims matters, you and EW agree to resolve disputes by binding arbitration as described in those Terms. If a dispute is determined not to be arbitrable, actions must be brought in the state or federal courts located in or nearest to Fort Bend County, Texas, and both parties consent to jurisdiction there.
13. Miscellaneous
- Non-transferable: This Limited Warranty applies only to the original consumer purchaser and is not transferable.
- Entire warranty: This is the entire consumer Limited Warranty for EW products and supersedes any prior written or oral warranties.
