📌 Position Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to expand EW's wholesale footprint by opening and growing new B2B accounts. This is a field-facing, relationship-led role focused on net-new account acquisition across convenience stores, gas stations, travel centers, independent wireless dealers, mall kiosks, local chains, and other retail environments that buy accessories in bulk or recurring smaller orders. The right candidate is a strong hunter who enjoys being in market, visiting accounts, identifying opportunity, presenting product, negotiating terms, and converting interest into ongoing business.
⚡ Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities across convenience, wireless, independent retail, and regional chain accounts.
- Build and execute territory plans that create a consistent cadence of outreach, store visits, meetings, quotes, first orders, and reorders.
- Develop relationships with store owners, buyers, district managers, operators, distributors, and other decision-makers.
- Present EW's assortment with a clear understanding of retail margin, merchandising opportunity, sell-through, and account fit.
- Prepare pricing recommendations and tailored assortments based on customer type, store count, location profile, and demand patterns.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and outreach through presentation, negotiation, onboarding, and post-sale follow-up.
- Collaborate internally on inventory, launches, samples, promotions, and account support needs.
- Represent EW in trade shows, networking events, and market visits while tracking pipeline activity, competitor feedback, and account opportunities.
✅ Required Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of B2B, outside sales, business development, or territory sales experience; 5+ years strongly preferred in convenience, wireless, consumer electronics, mobile accessories, or adjacent wholesale categories.
- Proven ability to win net-new accounts and grow repeat revenue in field-based sales environments.
- Direct experience calling on convenience stores, gas stations, travel centers, independent wireless dealers, kiosks, small-format retail, distributors, or regional retail chains strongly preferred.
- Strong commercial skills across prospecting, presentation, pricing, negotiation, objection handling, and closing.
- Comfort working independently with urgency, accountability, and a high level of ownership.
- Experience maintaining sales pipelines, quotes, activity tracking, and forecasts with strong follow-through.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Excel, email, and standard sales reporting tools.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly for customer visits, trade shows, and business development activity.
🌟 Preferred / Standout Background
- Existing network of buyers, store owners, multi-unit operators, or distributors in the convenience, wireless, or independent retail space.
- Experience selling mobile accessories, prepaid / wireless products, consumer electronics, or other fast-turn impulse categories.
- Familiarity with carrier or channel approval structures and how accessory programs are managed.
- Experience with trade shows, rep groups, brokers, or distributor partnerships.
- Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus.
